#600: From Fiber, to Felt, to Fabulous Upholstery

Saturday (July 24) & Sunday (July 25), 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (two-day course)
Difficulty: BEGINNER
You will not be making just a stool, you will be creating a soft work of art. While learning to make felt and upholstering a foot stool, you will be learning techniques that you can use for a lifetime as you create felt art chairs, benches, flower stands, foot stool, wall hangings, pictures, landscapes and contemporary art etc. The possibilities of how you use this class are endless and when we are all done, and you can put your feet up!
You will be learning the following techniques:
Wet felting
Felt inlay
Embellishing
Needle felting to perfect your picture
Finishing wood part of stool to have a complete work of art.

- Class Fee: $285

- Medium size wood stool
- Felting Fiber
- Resist if needed
- Foam for top of stool
- Staples
Students Must Bring:
- Simple design/drawing
- Soap: olive oil bar / castile bar
- Scissors
- Bath size towel
- Swimming noodle size 26" long
- 2 needle felting needles size 36 & 38
