#500: Flowers with Flair

Difficulty: BEGINNER
This is wet felting technique class suitable for beginners to intermediate felters. Students will use a resist to create lovely three dimension trumpet style flowers. We will play with color blending, creating lovely flowers with a natural vibrancy to them. We will also learn how to sculpt the wool into the desired shape as our flowers begin to felt. Students will have time to try this technique two or three times to really have a chance to play and create. We will also create and add stems to our flowers and embellish them with small beads if desired.

Material Fee Covers:
- Wool
- Beads
- Thread
- Felting needle (for attaching the stem)
Students Must Bring:
- A bowl for water
- Glycerin or olive based soap
- Small bamboo mat for rolling
- Very sharp scissors
- Ball sprayer or plastic soda bottle with holes in the lid for spraying water
- Photos of flowers for inspiration
