Instructor Information

Vilté Kazlauskaité
Lithuania

Vilte Kazlauskaite is a feltmaker from Lithuania who has published the first and only book about felting techniques in Lithuania in 2008. Her book introduced readers to the main principles of felt making, as well as some advanced techniques in wet felting, 3D felting, and nuno felting. The book was intended to be not just instructional, but inspirational as well - with many photos of felted items of the author and other feltmakers from the Baltic states. Vilte is one of the leading feltmakers in Lithuania who is organising group exhibitions and various projects in promoting the art of felt making in Lithuania. Her main interests in felting are various manipulations in nuno felting techniques and the use of raw wool in felting.
